Today I observed that the buds on my pussy willow seemed to be getting a bit bigger. It was around 5 PM in my backyard 2/23/10. The buds that contain the fuzzy things had enlarged since the winter. The buds were about 1 centimeter tall. They were about 1/2 a centimeter wide. They had a yellow-brown color near the stem and a reddish brown color everywhere else on the bud. The twig was also that color. The small buds that contained leaves had similar colors. The buds with the fuzzy bits inside them were smaller at the beginning of the winter. They may have been about 1/2 a centimeter tall and 1/4 a centimeter wide. That is all the changes i observed in my pussy willow.
